Nick and Kaleigh first met in October 2018 when they were both newly employed at Journeyman Group in downtown Austin. Nick had started at Journeyman in July on the multifamily development team and Kaleigh started in October running the marketing department. They worked together for the next couple of years until their relationship eventually became something more. Their first date was in March 2021 and they made things official in June 2021. The next couple of years involved lots of moving apartments, selling Nick's Lago Vista house, and even building a house. Nick bought a boat when they first started dating and Kaleigh quickly mastered being his co-captain. Other hobbies include spending time with Kaleigh's (and now Nick's) dog Winnie, and traveling. Their travels include trips to Italy, Scotland, Turks & Caicos, the East Coast, and various weekend getaways around Texas. Early on in the relationship, they took on the challenge of building a house together. Despite their newness as a couple, they were confident in each other and approached the project with unwavering trust. They officially moved in together in the house they built in August 2023. Nick decided to make it officially official and propose to Kaleigh on Leap Day 2024 at the place they both met. Kaleigh (and Winnie) happily said yes!
